Brainstorm meeting is well known but I do believe there are some points been ignored always, which result in failure. 1. Brainstorm meeting should be divided into three phases: Phase one: Encourage all attendees to raise more new ideas without any challenges whether they are good idea or not because challenge will always frustrate idea raiser. On the other hand, praise and support will encourage raiser's passion and expand their thought. Phase two: Challenge all of the ideas raised without any encourage in order to push everyone to pick up the realistic idea in ideas raised by all. As we know, we always raise some illusioned ideas which could not be implemented based on current resource or situation. Phase three: Workout conclusion. The purpose of brainstorm is to figure out solution and therefore we must sumarize to get conclusion as well as action plan if neccessary. 2. Facilitator: The success of brainstorm lies on the operation of the meeting facilitator who needs to control attendee's emotion and time so that all could focus on main purpose without loosing focus. 3. Relax atmosphere: which is helpful to the success of brainstorm and encourage each attendee to share their idea with all. 4. Award: Good idea need to be awarded so that we could be successful in next brainstorm meeting.
